HealthLink Secure is a Medicare-approved application listed on Medicare's Connected Apps Directory. We serve as a secure gateway for licensed insurance agents to access Medicare enrollees' health information, with explicit Enrollee consent, to provide more accurate and helpful insurance options.
Our Consent Process
Our consent process is designed to be seamless and secure, occurring naturally during conversations between enrollees and licensed insurance agents.
Typical Scenario:

During a conversation (phone or in-person) with a licensed insurance agent, you (the Enrollee) may encounter situations where you:
- Can't remember all your medications
- Are unsure about your current doctor's details
- Don't know if you qualify for special benefits
- Have a complex medical history or medication list

To save time and ensure accuracy, the agent may ask if they can access your Medicare data directly from Medicare.
- If you agree, the agent will use the HealthLink Secure system to initiate the consent process.
SMS Usage
We use SMS messaging as part of our consent process for accessing Medicare Enrollee information. Here's how it works:
SMS Consent Flow:
- The agent enters your phone number into the HealthLink Secure system.

We send a single SMS message to you with the following content:
"HealthLink Secure: [Agent Name] (Lic# [License Number]) requests to send you a link about accessing your Medicare info. Reply YES to receive the link or STOP to opt out. Msg&data rates may apply."
- If you reply 'YES', we send one more SMS with a link to our web-based consent form.
- You can review the agent's information and our privacy policy on the web page.

If you provide consent on the web page, you're directed to Medicare's official login page to authorize access to your information.

Important Information
- We send a maximum of two SMS messages per consent flow.
- Our SMS messages are used solely for facilitating the consent process, not for marketing.
- We do not store or retain health information or phone numbers.
- You can opt out at any time by replying 'STOP' to our messages.
- Access to Medicare information expires after 10 hours, requiring a new consent process for further access.
Privacy and Security

- Enrollee health information is protected and only shared with explicit consent.
- Agent contact information and client lists are kept confidential, protecting their business interests.
- We act as a secure pipeline, facilitating information flow without storing sensitive data.

Licensed agents using our system agree to:
- Obtain verbal consent before entering a Enrollee's phone number into our system.
- Maintain their own records of consent, as HealthLink Secure does not store this information.
- Use the system responsibly and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
