How HealthLink Secure Works
Use it Anywhere: Access HealthLink Secure during your in-person meetings and home appointments through your phone, tablet, or laptop, or use it on your desktop at the office. The same detailed information you get on our PC version is available anywhere you interact with beneficiaries.
Step 1: Enter Information
What You Do: As a licensed insurance agent, you enter the Medicare beneficiary's phone number or email into our system.
Privacy Assurance: HealthLink Secure does not store this information. We prioritize your business interests by ensuring that the data you enter remains private and exclusive to you.
Step 2: Send Authorization Request
What Happens Next: Our system sends an authorization request directly to the beneficiary via text or email.
Step 3: Beneficiary Approval
Beneficiary Action: The beneficiary receives the request and clicks a unique link, directing them to the official Medicare website. Along with the request, the beneficiary also receives:
- Agent's Contact Information: So they know exactly who is requesting access to their Medicare data.
- HealthLink Secure Privacy Statement: Written in plain language and available in both English and Spanish, ensuring the beneficiary understands how their information will be used and protected. You can view our privacy policy here.
Secure Access: The beneficiary logs in securely and approves the request, giving you temporary access to their Medicare data.
Step 4: Access Detailed Medicare Data
Your Access: Once approved, you gain secure access to comprehensive Medicare information, including:
- Claims Data: Insight into the beneficiary's healthcare usage.
- Coverage Information: Details on current coverage, including Part C (Medicare Advantage) and Part D (prescription drug) plans, and whether the beneficiary is dually eligible.
- Prescription Medications: A list of medications filled during the year.
- Prescribing Providers: Information on doctors and healthcare providers.
- Cost Information: Details on how much the beneficiary has paid during the year, helping you provide an accurate assessment of potential costs if they decide to change plans.
Step 5: Make Informed Recommendations
What You Do: Use this detailed data to compare plans, understand coverage options, and provide the best insurance solutions tailored to the beneficiary's needs.
Temporary Access: Your access to this data is secure and temporary, lasting only 10 hours. HealthLink Secure does not store any of this information, ensuring that your interactions are private and protected.
